Can my fuchs be refinished?

They seem to be polished. i want to paint the centers body color and bring the lip back to original. What do you call original finish? thx

The short answer is yes, they can be restored back to an anodized lip with painted center. The only issue will be if they have been chromed (instead of polished). Chroming Fuchs causes several issues in the restoration process.

Give Harvey Weidman a call. He's not going to turn them around in a month, but he's the absolute best in the business.

Get some metal polish such as Mothers, Wenol, BlueMagic etc and try hand polishing a small area.

If they are raw polished AL the area will get brighter and the polishing rag will quickly begin to get black as you polish off the oxidation.

If they are chrome they wont polish up as much and the rag will not get black as quickly.

Chrome wheels will also show signs of pitting as they age. Often out on the lip of the barrel or around the lug nut areas.
