Convertible installation, please help.
I am at the top of the rear section now. I can't get rid of the vertical ripples. To pull the sides, I lift the frame up around 50% and pull as hard as I can on the canvas, clamp them in the side frame, then close the frame. It's stress hard enough that I can hardly close the convertible to the lock position. The harder pulling on the sides, the more ripples created on the bottom of the side canvas (near the ends of the zipper). It looks like the zipper is also stretched pretty hard on both sides now. Top part of the zipper looks fine. Will these ripple go away by themselves? I doubt it.
I do not want guess since they are all glued down and dried hard, so I don't want to take glued off and redo for nothing. If anyone know/experience this, please help. Thanks. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1384934179.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1384934196.jpg |
Have you seen this thread? If not, it might help. I haven't done a convertible top yet, but I am saving this thread for the day that I decide to tackle the job.

Thanks Stone,
I did, multiple times, but I couldn't get it to flat as he does and don't know why. |
