What kind of tires would anyone recommend for a '72 S with 7x15" Wheels, in 195/65 for hard street use in the dry only?
Thanks |

I've found that the round ones work best
![]() I'm using RE730's, which seem to be a decent compromise of wet, dry, longevity, and price. For hard street use only, if you don't mind some noise, I'd say go with Yoko A032R's - now we're talkin' fun! Yoko AVS Sports also come highly recommended, but I've not used them myself. A friend of mine has them on his M3 and they seem to drive well, even on the track.

Try the Bridgestone Potenza S-03. Great tire with the latest compounding technology. Excellent tire wear characteristics.
Run the on my daily driver. Not cheap though.

My '73 came with Toyo Proxes and they seem OK. They 205/60-15.

I have the Bridgestone RE730's. I like them for all around use, but have not had them on the track. I bit of road noise after 8K miles, though. They handle well in wet and dry. The times I have pushed hard, they have not broken loose, well, except for the controlled spins in a parking lot. Looking at the SO3's for my next set.

Hey Thom, don't you know everyone uses square tires now? It's the "in" thing. They really help with braking.
