RS door panel install

I recieved some RS door panels in a trade with a fellow pelican (I think they are from APPBIZ) that did not have installation instructions for the pull strap. I have made 2 straps from the leather I used on the dash trim. I can see that I have to remove the metal that operates the door latch and attach with a small bolt and nut. The car is a 1970T, any help will be greatly appreciated.

On my '83 here is what I had to do...

There is a spring-loaded hinge that is connected to the door release mechanism. There was a plastic clip and a rod that goes into a hole in the spring-loaded hinge. The plastic clip and rod is what the door pull connected to. I removed the clip/ rod and then attached the strap to the hinge using a nut and bolt. The pull straps from AppBiz have a metal bushing on the end that the nut/bolt goes through.

I'll see if I can find any old pictures. I might even still have the instructions.

I used pieces of a long dog leach (spel?) for mine.
It was black...cheap and long enough to make several sets of pull straps.
For the closing handles...a couple of cheap luggage plastic handles with small stainless screws to hold them.

I have looked at older posts and I saw a few posts that had peole that had copies of the install instructions. Also Bob from Appbiz has jumped in to some of the discusions. I just want to be careful and not destroy the mechanism by guessing the right proceedure.
