Unhappy Sun Roof Drooping Slightly

This is minor but I've notice recently that the rear right corner of my 83SC's sun roof, when in the closed position, is drooping slightly, about maybe 1/4 to 3/8 of an inch lower than the roof. It used to be flush with the roof line. The left side is fine and is indeed flush with the roof line.
-
I know this is a small thing, but each time I notice it, it bothers me. And now, of course, my eye is drawn to the sun roof everytime I look at the car.
-
Anyone else have a similar problem. Any thought on the cause or fix for a drooping sun roof? Thanks much.

There is an adjustment on each side for the front and the rear of the sunroof. You have to pull off the liner and slide it all the way back. There is a screw that you loosen, and then push the sunroof into the position you want, and then you tighten the screw back up again. The Bentley manual describes this pretty well.

That's very interesting, since I just experienced this problem about two weeks ago. Mine came down a bit on the driver's side and I haven't looked into fixing yet, since it sealed up OK. It is very annoying and I have not figured out the cure for the problem.

If anyone has something that can be copied that explains the repair, it would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Marc

In my opinion, this is a problem that you should jump on fairly quickly, since this problem can lead to broken hinge fittings and/or cables, which in themselves are not too expensive of a fix, but are very time consuming and a general pain in the ass to perform, when a simple timely adjustment could have prevented a 5 hour nightmare of disassembly, parts purchase, reassembly, and readjustment.

This pic shows where the rear adjustment is made. There is a screw that you can access that holds the L-shaped piece onto the channel.

Another thing it could be... there is a small triangular plastic piece that helps guide the sunroof up and into position when you close it. On my car, the tab that holds it is broken off, so I have to help it in place by hand or else it won't close completely.

You can see the piece in this pic

Does anybody know where to get sunroof repair pieces like the stuff in the above pic?
