8x16 Fuchs on front of SC?
Does anyone have experience with the correct offset needed to run 8x16" Fuchs on the front of an SC? I've heard the 944 offset works, but could use the actual specs as I'll be ordering them from Braid.
I'm running my stock 7x16" Fuchs up front right now (having put sick 9x16 Braid wheels on the back). Thanks for any help with this. It would be cool to have a little more rubber up front. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1385241518.jpg |
Google "fuchs offsets" and look under "images". There are a bunch of charts with that info. The 951 rim should be on there. I tried to upload a pic here but it didn't work.

It has been squeezed onto the front of a 911 but it is not a real happy fit, the happy fits for 8s in front are ET25 to 31, higher is generally happier than lower because it moves the outer edge further from the lip but at the same time moves the inner edge closer to the chassis and other suspension pieces. I use 8ET25 w/ 225/ or 235/ tires on a fairly low Carrera but the fender lips have been shaved away for clearance. To get the most clearance other than w/ ET, more neg. camber and/or shorter tires can also employed ie 235/40 will fit more comfort ably than 235/45m 225/45 more comfortably than 225/50 etc. |
Thanks very much for the feedback, guys. That was very helpful.
