Best Fuchs RSR replica in 17"?
Opinions? Also, availability. I love the 15" Braids on my 74 RSR clone, but would like a set of 17" (9&11x17) for my 84 RSR clone so I can run larger brakes and have more tire options.

I think the Zuffenhaus/FIKSE/Alton Fuchs will get all the votes as "the best". I think the Lindsy's and the guy in CO are nice but not near the Zuffs. They are used on the Singer - only the best.

+1 on the Zuffenhaus Fuchs.
This is a "you get what you pay for" item. The Zuffenhaus wheels are very expensive and unless things have changed in the past couple of years, the wait times to get a set in your hands are incredibly long...which is why we ended up going with another vendor. When my brother and I backdated "our" '87 3.2 to a Carrera 3.0 RS-look, we ended up going with "the guy in CO" (Jim Lyon at True Design Wheels). You supply real Fuchs donor wheels, he removes the outer part of the wheel and welds on a BBS-style 17" rim. Same deal with Lindsey. The quality is great but you don't end up with a Fuchs-style outer rim like the spendy Zuffenhaus wheels which are "the ones" if cost and time are not important to you. Here's the set of True Designs that Jim built for us, they were originally 16x7's that had been curbed. They were sourced from the Pelican classifieds. ![]()

Yes there is Jacks former beauty. If I was buying a set I would buy the Tru Design. Last time I checked they were the lowest cost. And very very nice. But if you want the best cost no object.... billet centers etc etc. The Zuffs!
There is a set for sale right now on the classifieds but they are for a NB car.

We'll have a set of 9/11 in standard finish (black centers, like the SC era) in aggressive late 930 fitment available and in stock ready to ship just after Thanksgiving, if the OP is interested...?

Thanks, Keith, I would be, but my car is a 911 with turbo flares.
