Need some Bilstein help

I have a set of front strut inserts. The only marking on them is stamped 9485001H003.
Which ones do I have, the HD or Sport?

Thanks,
Tom

Call Bilstein. They'll know.

Unfortunately, Bilstein was no help. Does anybody have a set that they can check? I have a feeling the 5001H0 part of it indicates HD, but don't know for sure.

Thanks in advance
Tom

Not sure if the color makes a difference but they used to have green and yellow and IIRC the yellows were the sports and green HD's. I'm sure someone will correct me if I've got it reversed. How about posting a picture?

I have sport (yellow) rears and hd (green) fronts.
Not sure if this helps.

The inserts on the front are not painted. The rears are easy, green for HD, yellow for sport.
It's the fronts I'm concerned with.

My Bilstein-sports has these stamped top of one of the strut-inserts:
4198R36 5001H0

You need a shock dyno. Why not send them in for custom tuning and a mod to digressive rates? That would solve everything.

My thought exactly. If you plan to use the shocks but don't know if they are good or not, you can send them to Bilstein and have them revalved. You tell them what your suspension is (stock, or larger torsion bar size) and they can give you compression and rebound settings. If you have stock sport or HD's they can match the shock you want. A revalving job is much less than buying a new pair of shocks.

Yes, thats a good idea, but these are brand new in the box. The label on the outside is illegible. Sending them out for revalving would be a waste of $'s.
I'm thinking that since within the number is 5100H0, they are probably the HD's

i have bilstein HD and they are 3606R365001H0. I was told that the R365001H0 is the HD insert for bilstein struts (green). The first numbers are production numbers
