It has taken me almost two years, but I finally made it to post #911! Since I was getting a bit tired of "freefly" anyway, it seemed like a fitting time to change. So, as inspired by the "name change" pioneers: Tyson Schmidt (Brainiac), Chuck Moreland (Clark Griswald), and John Colasante (Orbmedia), I am retiring "freefly" in favor of my real name. Wow, I feel like a new person!

Just don't post again because the post count will change and someone will point out this was your 912th post.
Glad you decided to stay awhile and expose your true identity.

Eric,
Now, I'm not sure I'll recognize you next time we're at the Alehouse.

i'm against all this name changing nonsense. why do you guys do it? it took everyone months to figure out where orbmedia went. you should act like men and stick with the names you chose. pretty soon you'll be posting that you are selling your porsche and buying a bmw m3.

Hey Chuck, I always thought "Clark Griswald" was a great by-name. Mind if I steal it......

Jamie, Chuck, John, and Paul -
Thanks, I feel special now! Doug - It' will be hard to miss me. I will be the guy you are buying beers for! Planter- Actually I AM selling my 911. However, I'm doing so to buy another 911, so no worries there. Also, another reason for the change was to take the confusion out of meeting fellow Pelican-heads in the "real" world. For instance, at the recent Rainforest Roundup, I got to meet a bunch of Pelican members, but trying to remember everyone's real name AND screen name was a bit of a challenge! PORSHIN - I hope not!! Although, if that is true, I will be loving life at post #'s 930, 934, 935, 959, 962, etc.. Moses - LOL. I love it! |

What's this; Eric Coffey is freeflying no more? . . .Airplanes must be getting better.
So what next "Eric" (if that is your real name) . . .I suppose your going to change the avitar on us too. This is SO confusing![]()

Can we call you Mr. Coffey?
And how do you change your name while maintaining your post count? Anyway, Eric / freefly, I'm seriously considering your idea from another thread about the garage wall crest and banding graphic. Thanks for taking the time to offer that.

Island -
There, I changed my avatar just for you! Actually, it is more suited to my "former" identity, so I'll have to change it back soon. Oh, and don't worry, I will still be jumping out of "perfectly good" airplanes, (you know, gravity-powered flight) for quite a while! ![]() Ted - Dood, you can call me anything you like. I'm not picky in that department, and will answer to most anything. Although, I have heard them all regarding my last name (Mr. Coffee, Joe, Folgers, Java, Coffee Bean, etc. etc.) I kinda like my nickname that I use with the ladies: "Long Rod Von Hugenstein" (j/k of course). How did I change my screen name while keeping my post count you ask? It's an ancient Pelicanese secret. The only clue I will give you is this: Wayne is the all-powerful gate keeper. Anywho, be sure to keep us posted on what you decide for that garage!
