Emergency Tires in Ft. Stockton?
Guys, need some pelican help/advice. On my way back to Austin from Big Bend and misjudged the life of my rear tires on my Boxster. When I stopped for gas in Ft Stockton, the rears were showing the steel belt. Unfortunately, nobody sells the tires I need and I can't safely drive on the highway in this condition.
Any chance there's a desert Pelican with some extra porsche tires in the garage? Looking for 265/40 x 18 or something close. Thanks! Oh, and to honor the point of this bb, here's the technical question: Will a Fuchs or 964 or 993 wheel fit a 987 boxster?

To answer your question, I assume a 993 or 964 will fit a Boxter as I have put Boxter wheels on my 964's

UPDATE: No tires within 300 miles, so I bit the bullet and ordered from TireRack with overnight delivery. Another night in Fort Stockton beats a blowout on I-10 in the middle of the desert.
Thanks all.
