Houston we have a problem
 

Well just because I have been getting excited all week and my heads actually arive today I ran into a problem.
It appears that my piston rings that I bought to go with my Mahle pistons don't seem to like the Alusil pistons I bought.
Actually, the only one that dosen't fit is the oil scraper ring.

My question is: is it just the oil scraper ring that is a different size or do I need a totally different set of piston rings for these Alusil pistons?

Damnit.

you're going to get another full set, so i would use all of the set.

Are you saying that no one will sell me a set of 6 oil scraper rings?

I'll be pissed if I have to buy a whole new set if all I need is 6 oil scraper rings.


But this does sound right to you? KS used different sized rings than Mahle. I haven't read anything anywhere about that so I was just a bit confused.
