20 euros or close ; housing & filter on ebay.

Nothing to hope , but a torque loss .

And a great sound.

For example , original filter box WITH and WITHOUT the cover , it's 7 HP .

(proved , same day , same temp' )

That's what I thought as well. I would rather have the torque that the better sound...

For me ; the better way to increase torque & power would be the Steve Wong carbon airbox , similar as factory , and equipped with a HFM-5 air flow sensor.

Associated to a dedicated ship of Steve , that can produces a good gain.

I already have a SW 93octane chip and am pleased with the extra mid-range punch it gave, but I do not see a carbon airbox on his web site?

Unless you add a 90 degree bend and extend the tube so that the filter is placed just below the opening in the engine lid, the right name for it would be "warm air intake"

That is not correct.

As soon as you touch the throttle the fan sucks in fresh air so fast, that the temp in the engine bay very quickly drops to the outside temp.
I believe it can refresh the air in the engine bay with up to 1500 litres of fresh air every second. Outside and inside temp are the same.

You mean 7 hp more?
Wasn't it Steve that made a comparison between with or without the original cover and proved that the Cup airbox (a modified stock lid) really works?

3.2 Dyno Tests: Airboxes and Mufflers

Note that the before and after dyno runs are with the fueling corrected in each case. A stock chip is not perfect in this regard at high revs. Best to read the whole thread...

+1

The fan sucks in so much outside air so quickly that the engine compartment is pretty close to the same as the ambient temp. Pop the deck lid and feel the engine immediately after a drive on a cold day. Cold air intake is just a gimmick for these cars.

On a Rototest dyno a 993 RS with a warm air intake produced about 10 more hp when a fan was used to blow ambient air at the air filter in the engine compartment. I would assume that the air would take the shortest way from the opening in the lid to the engine fan rather than take a detour via the innermost corners of the engine compartment. And that dyno test seems to support that assumption.
