1982 SC hose drivers side rear wheel well.

I am restoring my 82 911 SC and there is a hose that runs up along the wheel
well chassis drivers side rear about an inch in diameter. Can someone tell me what it is. I have the engine out of the car and I can't seem to see where it went or what the purpose is.

Should be the AC hose. The dryer is in the driver's front fender well. Hose goes under the driver's side, then up into the engine bay on the driver's side. The system makes a bit of a loop around the car with a line on the passenger side and a line on the drivers side. Dryer in the front fender well, a condenser at the front carefully positioned to strike high spots in the road, evap and blower in the smuggler's box, compressor on the engine (passenger side) another condenser in the deck lid for an 82.

It's like...oh goodness... an a/c system - wherever shall we put these bits? I know, we'll spread them throughout the car and tuck them all into dark wee corners! YEAH! - LOL!
