OT: There are some things my 911 can't do...
 

I ran across this old picture of my dad with his 1945 Willys. I took this picture in 1974, more than 30 miles from the nearest navigable trail in Northern California's Yolla Bolly Wilderness.

The old jeep (and my dad) are still running strong.

I live about 10 minutes from the Yolla Bolly Wilderness. Hwy 36 E. is the road that leads out to it from Red Bluff. It is one of my regular twisty road drives.

This picture was taken about 30 miles East of Paskenta, on the trail to the Mad River. You know the area?

I know Hwy 36 very well. A GREAT road for high-speed curves with little traffic.

Shhhh......Matt......please keep this awesome road a *secret*.
No one uses it except you and me. ;)
(My Ducati 916 Corsa lives for this road.)

I bought an old scratch built model airplane yesterday and had to figure out a way to cram it in the car...


The wing span on this baby is over 8 foot!
I had to completely dissassemble the thing to get it in the car.

My father does the R/C plane thing. Big time.

He bought a Ford Excursion (we call it the Incursion) to be able to transport planes to/from the field.

He's just nuts.

Moses, I know that area, as well as the rest of Tehama County very well. When you go to fires here, you learn the roads and area very quickly.

Doug, don't worry, it will be our secret;) .

There are so many fun twisty roads within 5-10 minutes of my house it's amazing. If anyone every wants to sample them with me, just look me upSmileWavy .
