Front Valance Carrera vs. SC
 

My goal is to have a cleaner and simpler looking front end for my 1987 Carrera Coupe. I have removed the fog lights and was going to have a body shop fabricate some covers for the fog light openings in the lower valance. I'm thinking I will not reinstall the front rubber lip either since I have removed the rear deck tail. I have seen photos SC cars with fog lights removed, and wondered if it would be easier for me to just find a used valance from an SC to put on my Carrera. Anybody know if it would fit properly?

Same valance from 74 up. You may get lucky and find an early one the wasn't even drilled for fogs.

Or, here's a new repro part. I'm considering this one for my Carrera, although I think I'll keep the spoiler lip.

I think I would look for an earlier valence rather than plug up the holes. I've seen them for sale on the classified from time to time.

There are Club Sport valances available for what you want.

I have modified my Carrera front valance... Took off the fog lights and grafted in brake scoops ($15 on eBay). However, there is no room for the 3" hoses from the scoops to the brakes, so I will modify the scoops to get air to the oil coolers in the fenders.

Fly 911...Please post photos of your modifications to the brake scoops when you can. You have a nice look going on there, and hopefully functional as well.

The 1984 SC RS (type 954) has scoops similar to the ones I have made, but they direct air to the front fenders oil coolers:
