I'm from Regina, Sask. and there is never anything going on around here. This is basically my only contact with other Porsche owners. The closest PCA group is the Wild Rose Region in Calgary which is to far away to catch any of the activities although next year I would like to go to one or two events.

You should check out the one in Edmonton if you aren't already a member. This time of the year though there isn't much happening.

Hey guys I'm a Porsche owner out here on the west coast on Vancouver Island. Canada just isn't Porsche country! There is actually some events that take place here but a Porsche swap meet is unheard of, only a couple autocross events. I've been lucky enough though to find a couple guys close by who are into racing porsches all over the place and one guy even bought the remaining stock of a closing porsche dealership and sells parts at half there cost, cash! Both are very helpful and very knowledgable. Garry I see your a Caterpillar mechanic in Regina, I am also a heavy duty mechanic and deal with alot of Caterpillar, just got home and I'm filthy! My girlfriend is yelling at me to have a shower and quit getting the computer dirty! My sister lives in Regina, I was there in August and didn't see one damn porsche on the road! Must be far and few between there. Matt

That's because "Hockey Hair" doesn't look good in a Porsche, it belongs in a 'Vette or a Trans-Am. Tee-Hee. Just kidding.

Hey Matros,
I'm just across the border in Bellingham, WA. How about sharing the name of your friends dealership with half price parts? Seriously - if you make it over to Vancouver let me know and I'll meet you for a cold one to talk Porsche.

Bon Soir:
I don't think Ontario is exactly a hotbed either, but there are at least five guys in the Toronto area with used parts and at least a few restoration shops. I stumbled on a 356 guy a week ago and there's a 914 specialist 5km from my home.
One used parts person who I haven't dealt with or spoken with yet has a message on the PCA upper Canada region site's classifieds.
LMK si je peux vous aider.
Everyone here talks about the swap meet on Hershey PA, though I've heard rumour of a small one locally.

Guys,
Nice to see some other Canadians on the site. I am a Canadian currently working in the San Francisco Bay Area (high-tech). I've been down here for the last 3 years. I get back home (Ottawa and Toronto) every 3-4 weeks. Bought a good 81SC down here. Don't know what I am going to do when I head back to Canada. It is so easy to find parts and mechanics here in the bay area. I guess I will always have this site to help with some DIY.

Cheers....and keep your stick on the ice...(had to put that in).

I am on Vancouver Island. Most of the Porsches here are tucked away for the winter.
The local Porsche club is already planning events for next. email me for info.

I guess I win the award for the Farthest East Canadian.

I just moved to New Brunswick from Alberta this summer. Hoping to move back next year now.

I belong to the Wild Rose Region of the PCA, it is great! I did not get on many of the events with them as I lived a few hours from Calgary and couldn't do the timings. But the ones I did go on were great!

Also there are always contacts for parts etc.

Doesn't it suck only getting to use our cars for 6-7 months?

Hell, I always figured I'd put snow tires on a 911 and drive it in the winter, too. I bet a 911 with really aggressive snow tires would give an SUV a run for its money. 911's kicked butt in rallies, right?

Of course I'd be crying in the spring as I swept the pile of red oxide dust that used to be a car out of the garage!

I live in Montreal, too. There's not that much here except the shows PCA has here. We are also lucky to be near San-air, where there are a few PCA Driver's ed courses available.

I live 1 hour north of Toronto.

I swear the car is coming out as soon as the roads are dry and it stops snowing
