1988 Targa fuel leak

I'm the original owner, and my "Garage Queen" (named by my boat mechanic) has 52,000 miles on it. Yes - it's been pampered. I'm in the Buffalo NY area, and only drive the car in warm weather. For the past 6 or 8 yrs I probably average less than 500 miles logged yearly.
Several days ago I started it and let it idle for 15 minutes or so. I noticed a large puddle of gas under the engine. I shut the engine off and probed around hoping to find something obvious - nothing. I restarted, and noticed that the leak was pretty much "0" at idle, then became serious when the engine was revved.
Several days later, I started it and let it idle (revving it frequently) for 30 minutes or so - absolutely no sign of a leak! The same process was repeated a day later, with the same result - no visible leak.
I'm tempted, for safety's sake, to have all the fuel lines replaced, but would appreciate comments from you guys reossible causes.

Do a search of carrera or 3.2 fuel lines - they are all getting old and many are leaking. There are several alternatives to using the expensive porsche fuel lines.

Short answer, YES replace all the fuel lines - but I think I'd explore this leak more to really make sure it was fixed before doing that.

Remeber, there are also old lines up front, connecting the fuel pump to the tank and a return line.

I just did the front lines, and I had a similar experience. I had a puddle under the front of the car, a few days later I lifted the car up got everything out of the way and cranked the engine. No leak. I crawled under the car and started moving the fuel lines around and I found the leak.

The leaks won't go away for ever they will come back.

response to pors1968 -

The tank hasn't been filled since the beginning of summer. It's between 1/2 and 1/4 now.
