Door lock problem
I was trying to fix the LED in my driver's side lock knob, so I removed the knob to have a closer look. Unfortunately, I obviously did something wrong - now, my driver's side door won't lock. Something seems to be binding inside - the shaft that the lock knob screws on to only has a couple of mm of vertical movement. I've taken to panel off the top of the door, but I can't see anything obviously wrong . Anyone have any ideas? I'd like to know what I'm looking for before removing the whole door panel.
Thanks...

I've removed some more stuff, including the rotary lock knob thing. I have absolutely no clue how to remove the plastic bit behind the rotary knob lock thing, or even if what I'm doing is correct. I've tried to pry back the panel a bit to see if I can see what's going on - no joy.
So... bump. Please.

There is a screw holding the rotary cam knob on. You have to pry the cap off to gain access. Once that is removed, you can simply unscrew the larger plastic backing piece ("rosette"?). Of course, to remove the door panel completely you will also need to remove the top trim rail, the door handle, detach the latch linkage arm from the door pull, remove the door pocket, disconnect the window switches, disconnect speakers, etc.
