IGNORE this one, double post!

WHen I started the car, it idled fine for about 10 seconds then all of the sudden it started to vibrate. When I drive it is has no power and it vibrates. It feels to me to be missing a cylinder. When I put my hand at the tail pipe, I feel a forcefull puff with every revolution. It's is hard to get it started from a dead stop, wanting to die under any load. If I drive it under little load, it will lurch a bit like it's trying to get into rythm but can't. The car is an 88 911 stock. 83000 miles. All routine maintenance has been done at every scheduled interval. I don't know if the plugs and/or wires have been replaced ever or not, but they look pretty old. Where should I start here? Could this be something as simple as a bad plug or wire, or something more serious like a bad valve???

Here is a "quick & dirty" list of things to check:

Cap/rotor.
plugs.
plug wires.
coil.
DME relay.
CHT sensor.
idle position switch.
idle speed valve.
air flow sensor (sticking vane?).
vacuum leak.
restricted fuel filter/fuel line.
glogged/fouled injectors.
fuel pressure regulator.
fuel pump.
TDC reference sensor.
rpm speed sensor.

I think you have a very serious problem, and the thing to be checked, ASAP, was posted on the other thread you started on this SAME IDENTICAL ISSUE less than 24 hours after starting this one!!!

Misfiring engine?

And after reading your previous thread, only one oil change in 8K miles? You're living dangerously...

Once again, sorry about the double post. I change my oil every 6000, last I checked that's pretty conservative considering Porsche reccomends every 15000.

Most people here would tell you to change your oil and filter every 3K miles. Since the engine is oil cooled, being fastidious with oil changes is more important than in a water cooled beast. I believe the 15K figure is for newer engines running synthetic. Even then I think 15K is too long, but ymmv.
