Looking for fire extinguisher mount that works w/ Corbeau seats

Hey, all -

I used to have a Brey-Krause fire extinguisher mount that worked with the factory passenger seat but doesn't work with my Corbeau seats so I'm looking for alternative ideas. Specifically, the slider mechanism is in the way.

This is the one I have:

I'm wondering if the Brey-Krause mount for power seats would work? It looks like it puts the extinguisher a bit farther forward.

I also found this one. It says it's for Boxster/Cayman/996 & up. Are the seat bracket patterns different from older 911's? Just wondering if this would possibly work.

You can't buy happiness, but you can buy car parts which is kind of the same thing.

So this is for electric seats? No wonder it doesn't fit.

Well it didn't fit my stock seat rails with Recaros. Pretty irked.

This picture makes me wonder if this one will still impede the slider mechanism.

On the stock seats the slider is on the left and is tucked fairly out of the way.

The slider mechanism for the Corbeau seats is much different. It is more in the center and it comes out and angles upward sort of parallel to the inclination of the seat bolster.

I've been looking at the universal bracket I linked to above and I'm tempted to give it a try.

Just wondering if anyone else had come across this and found a solution.

Evan9eleven addressed his problem by cutting and re-welding the BK mount. I don't have the time, equipment or talent to do that myself.

My wife and kids hated that mount. The upward angle of the bracket was uncomfortable. Nothing like the feeling of hot metal on the back of bare thighs or calves in the summertime!

That's right. I sold the Brey Krause Mount when i switch from stock electric seat to (manual) Nürburgring seats. The extinguisher is now mounted between the seats. Looks like this:

Either way, the BK doesn't work for me. Looks like zip ties on the roll bar will be my choice.

Your bottle is shorter than mine. I thought about putting it there but my 1.5 lb bottle is too long.

I ordered the universal bracket to give it a try. I'll let you guys know if and how it works.

Time to revive an old thread. Tim, how did the universal bracket work for you? My wife gave me a HalGuard 2.5 lb extinguisher for my birthday, and I'll be mounting it in my 72 with Nurburgring seats. Has anyone tried this bracket sold by our host?...

Had to return the universal bracket. Did not work and I couldn't come up with a way to make it work. The slider mechanism keeps getting in the way no matter what solution I have tried.
