Adam --
I found the following on the 911Turbo.com board. I don't know this guy or his car, just forwarding a lead. I believe the listing is under the "all Porsches" section of the Rennlist sponsored area.

Happy hunting.

Gentlemen, I have my 1979 turbo up for sale on Rennlist and I have put an aggressive price on it for a quick sale. It is ad # 34166 and if you read the description I am sure you will agree it is an attractive price for what I am selling. It is modified from stock and would make a perfect D.E., track or aggressive street car. I can e-mail additional pictures upon request.

jp, thanks for the lead. i actually spoke to that owner last night. the car sounds interesting. my only probs with the car are that the a/c compressor and condensor have been removed, the whole car has been repainted (not sure why), and there are a couple of electrical issues that have to be worked out. the engine has been heavily modified (he has docs for it), but maybe that's not a prob.

Adam, a few weeks back, aic auto, maybe aicauto.com, anyway, they had a really nice all stock 86 930 with 36000 miles for sale. They didn't have a price listed for it, but all their other stuff was pretty overpriced. I imagine there would be room for bargaining. Also, someone wrote in with an opinion regarding the 930 for sale on the turbo board, it wasn't a good opinion. Normally, an opinion is just that, but considering that the car has a repaint from red to black and the a/c pulled out, I would have to really wonder about that car.

rattlsnak,

your car is killin', and i'm sure it would rock my world, but since i have some time on my hands i'm looking more for a grand prix white one or another guards red as a current preference. i haven't forgotten about your car! i'm just in 'picky' mode right now...

I've got a lead on a 1976 930. Emerald green(if thats the right designation for the color). 58,xxx miles. One owner car. I've driven this car a number of times. Just not exactly what I'm looking for. It's really in beautiful shape. The AC needs work, and there are a few little cosmetic issues. It's at a local lot if you want to call the number is (828)265-1012

btw, the car is in NC

What ever you do, don't settle. If you don't have the cash for what you really like, save over winter or for even a year. A few thousand can go along way. It will suck not having a Porsche to drive for that while, but somethings are worth the wait. Nostatic will back me up on this.

Adam,

I sent you a message but I am not sure if it went through, so heres the same info.

Ed Carroll Porsche in Fort Collins Colorado has an 88 Trubo Convertible for sale with about 24,000 miles. It is a gold-ish brown color with a white linen interior. They are asking $37,900 for it, but it does need a new top, so I woudl think less could be offered. I can take some pictures for it if you would like and e-mail them to you. There is also a guy here that would do a good PPI for you at Poudre Sports Car.

Bill

And no I don't work for the dealer, just trying to help you out!
