Rattlsnak, I have heard all this talk about your car, but I guess I am behind the times because I have yet to see pictures or see stats. Come on, satisfy my curiosity.

Thumbs up Rattlesnake's rocket ride

Let's just say that is one of the most modified cars I have driven (and not pit crewed for)... and it is set up really well.

I've autocrossed for years including track time at Road Atlanta, back in the days when you could carry as much speed as the engine could muster after turn 12 for the front straight. Track time with this car is a must. There is nothing the car needs.

Marc's car started out life just like my own '78 Euro SC. His is much different now, about as different as could be and still have the "SCWDP" sticker.

At usual road speeds the car feels heavier and much stiffer than I am used to-- mind you not harsh, rather a very different feel due to how much more rubber is chassis stiffness exists.

I am impressed, and the turbo experience is what has been described, pinning me to the seat at 4K when boost comes on strong. Redline comes on way to fast, as Marc will attest as he watched me wind the car up around his neighborhood last night. Luckily he has plenty of seat time as an instructor, so I don't think he was too worried.

It is a loud beast under boost...And I thought the turbo guys were joking when they likened the experience to piloting a very low flying aircraft.

Many thanks to Marc, and we will be in touch. Problem for me is how to liquidate my 911SC for something reasonable. At this point I have almsot $18K invested in making it as fast as possible.

Oh, and by the way, "Angelina" as I like to think of her is spoken for, so if you manage to steal her away from Marc before I sell my car then Marc has no choice but to build another exact replica.

Yep. I'm a fan. Consider me one of the converted.
