Where to buy tires in the Phoenix/Scottsdale, AZ area?
I just bought a 69 911e to add to my 930. This 911e is pretty original and in amazing condition. I want to go to a shop that will be extremely careful with the original matching fuchs - I don't want any scratches.
Any suggestions for the best shop to get some new tires in Phoenix/Scottsdale? |

I'd call Chris at Turbokraft. If he doesn't do it he'll know where to send ya.

Have you tried a mobile installer? I have had very good luck with Graham Yarbro at 2U Tire. He has handled tire changes for several of my vintage cars.
I typically order the tires I want from Tire Rack have them delivered to 2UTire... but they can order the tires for you if you prefer. Then they come to my home and install. This way I can remove/reinstall the wheels myself and no without a doubt no one used an impact wrench (although they will do this for you if you prefer). You can watch them remove the old tires and install the new tires to ensure no scruffs or scratches on the wheels. Graham Yarbro 2UTire & Wheel 602.346.9210 info@2utire.com

Discount Tire is based in Phoenix. Call their headquarters in Scottsdale with your concerns, they have the best trained techs and newest no-touch equipment in the business. Great tire prices also. Also could speak/ visit with the service mgr at Scottsdale Porsche. The dealers have invested heavily in recent years in the top equipment to accommodate the specialty rims and tires offered on the current factory models. They can do it all.......ask them to quote you on mount/ balance on your Fuchs. - |

Order your tires from discount and then take your car to Dan Jackson and DJ will install and balance.

This may surprise you, but I have had very good experience at Costco. They have the best equipment and can usually order in just about any tire. They also have the "freshest tires" Nothing over a year old or less.
