Engine carrier orientation
 
I've seen pictures both ways. Does the "flange" point towards the front of the car, or the rear?

I believe its to the rear and out of the way other wise the flange will take room when working on the alternator.

That's what I was leaning towards, but I've seen more than 1 picture the opposite way.
