Engine deck lid wont open on my 996

When I actuate the release button to try to open my engine compartment deck lid it sounds like its working but it does NOT pop the lid open. Is there another way to open it and if not, what is the fix? :confused:

There should be an emergency release cable under the driver side tail light.

You may want to have someone pull up on the lid when you press the release button.
