Id my 915 please from my 84

Do i have a 1977 tranny?

The 84 915 will have a reinforced casting boss for the cutouts for the TDC sensor on the top and the flywheel sensors. If it were a 77 there will be a hack job with a saw to make the notches in the bell housing.

Thanks for the replies. So looks like I have an 86. In the near future I may have to get this fixed or replaced so just need to know what I have.... Cheers!!!

Excuse me, flat6pac, we call my sensor "modifications" on my 915 "Engineering Artwork". Done with a grinder and a hacksaw!

Hang on to the late 915

The later model(84-86) 915 gearboxes are usually a little nicer to have so do not trade this one in for a reconditioned one without doing your homework first. Just MHO but I run an 86 Euro 915 with the cooler. If only the speed limit here was over 65?
