Removal of Interior Trim Piece
How do you remove this piece?

It's glued on.... basically a piece of vinyl. You have to remove the door seal and the rear window sill (or whatever it's called), then peel it off.
Installation would be the reverse of removal with the addition of some glue. |

Just as a heads up/how too.
The piece of vinyl or leather is backed by a piece of thin foam. When you remove, most likely the foam will be history. You can source new foam from a local upholstery supply. When I do these, I start with 3M General Trim Adhesive and attach the foam to the B pillar first and trim to fit. Then I use more 3M and attach the center portion of the vinyl/leather to the foam. Finally I use DAP Contact Cement and small spring clamps to attach the edges of the vinyl/leather where they wrap into the B pillar. (No foam in those areas). Cooper |
