2.7 from what?
I just bought an original 914-6, but the engine is a 2.7 from a 911. I know nothing about this engine.
It has a pair of what looks like triple choke webers on it. Is this stock? Can anyone tell me what years this engine was available in 911? Any resources you can point me to to find out more?

Post the engine number and type number. That will tell specifics.
That configuration was never shipped as a factory configuration, 2.7 w carbs. The 2.7 was introduced with MFI in '73 on the RS model. Very unlikely you have one of those. The 2.7 was produced in great number with CIS from '74 to '77. You probably have one of those converted to webers

I know someone with a good core 914-6 engine for sale, if you're interested in picking one for originality...
