15x9 Minilite wheels for ST

Like many others, I would really like to get my hands on a set of 15x9 Minilites for an upcoming ST project.

I've been talking with a manufacturer that is considering producing these wheels, but I need to know the backspacing.

Anyone have an original they can measure?

If we can get these going again, this list will be the first to know!

Thanks,

Todd

Let me know if they have 9"

Aren't they still making them? I think that is what Dave B and the artisans at TRE installed on that beautiful tan 911 "GS".

These are 8.5 x 15 (bead seat to bead seat width measurement) with 4.5 inch backspace we have made . Two piece aluminum, 20 lbs each< considerably lighter than the cast minilites. They take sleeved lug nuts that support the wheel around each stud. Price is $500 each and 2 are available from stock immediately. Please e mail us at info@tremotorsports.com for more info on other sizes and availability

I've seen these rims at TRE. They're gorgeous and well made.

I think I have what you are looking for, though I believe they are 15x10.

minitlites

i saw on american racing wheels web site that they make a set of wheels that look very much like the minilite but in many different sizes, i think up to a 15x12. they have different back spacing options and i think they will custom drill the bolt pattern. i haven't contacted them but i would be curious if they could work. most there wheels are under $200ea.

Dave, I sent you an email but got a message that your mailbox was full.

The spokes of aftermarket wheels seem to have a less pronounced contour. I prefer the look of the original spokes.

sbc is having problems with their mailbox servers so very few e mails get thru. They are supposed to have it fixed sometime today (We hope!)

gestalt1 : Great find on the american source! going to check it out. For those kind of prices, they can be refinished to whatever you like and still have some $$ left over. Let's hope

thanks

ok- just got off the phone with american mag representative; They will not drill the porsche bolt pattern per se. But they will drill a pattern that allows a steel insert to the correct 5 x 130 mm measurements. What this means is that the rims can be delivered to a outside specialist that will install the inserts and check for trueness. Prices pending size, shipping back and forth, and the insert operation. Stay tuned...

and my e mail is working again
