Before you replace your wheel bearings-check if slack!

My road test (UK) advised of a slack rear wheel bearing 2 years running
I had a worsening vibration from the front end which would materialise when the wheels were warmed up (after lots of curves)
So I had the rear wheel bearing replaced (not cheap or easy)- my decision - not the mechanics
The vibration was still there, so my mechanic suggested trying tightening the front bearings - problem solved!
My front wheels have a lot of neg camber so the tyres have worn badly.
So when warm and driving straight the vibration was very evident and it disappeared when I turned one way (to the right)
Now I get a very mild vibration which I believe to be tyre wear
Of course this is amplified through the huge 9" front wheels I have.
I did not even know bearings could be adjusted/tightened

Just a word of advice which might help someone!
