Rebuild/' Upgrade a 911/'57
Hello all!
I have a 1972 911 T 2.4l engine that i would like to finish rebuilding and upgrade. I have searched around the web on possible things to do to the engine to boost performance but i am still confused as to what would be the best route for mostly street driving with the occasional track day (to keep car alive). options: Keeping stock case and rods and swapping P/C's for 2.2 T P/C's. Can i keep my T cams with this setup? Keep stock case, rods, P/C's, and swap out cams for E Cams or can i increase everything to a 2.7 by using Solex Cams, 9.5 JE'S, and 40mm webers? These were some of the most popular choice i have researched on. Has anyone done any of these to their 2.4's? Once the engine is rebuilt i plan on keeping it in 911 for a while (until i find a reasonable 3.2) then putting in my 914. All help is greatly appreciated! |
