Normal for 930 to blow smoke at startup?

I recently purchased a low mileage (around 7k) 930. It has been well maintained and is completely stock. I have noticed a brief period of smoke when first starting the car. It lasts no more than one or two seconds. Is this normal? Thanks.

Everyone says it's normal for NA and turbos, but my 3.2, which has a 180k miles almost doesn't ever blow any smoke at all!
And the valves are loud.
I don't get the whole "blowing smoke = normal" thing.

Sheesh Warren do you think you can yell any louder?

I think it is normal to puff a little smoke on start up. Mine does one puff and then no more smoke.

Enjoy your car

Apparently, people don't read the posts, or bother with the search function ...
