Name that oil leak

I'm tearing this engine down to look for the source of a leak. This picture is of the top of the engine, looking from the rear of the car toward the front of the car. Where do you think this oil is coming from? The flywheel seal looked bad (lots of oil back there). Possible that the movement of air forced the oil up over the engine?

Thats an early engine, before 74, nothing has to be tight to run so you have bleeding from the thermostat o ring, the cloth wrapped hose to center case, and drainage from the air filter because its sucking fumes off the oil tank.
That isnt fresh oil, its years of bleeding.

The guy who sold it to me said it had a "bit of a leak." Understatement of the year.

check that crankcase breather hose too. If it's all dried up and cracked, replacing all those gaskets will do you little good.

Since its out I would re-seal everything I possibly could, and hopefully you get it. But it could be the case.

Cast iron T engine. Breather plate gasket, thermostat oring & new breather hose, just like everyone else says.Looks pretty normal for a early engine.
