reinstalling A arm with new bushings

I know this topic has been covered extensively and I have done a lot of searching but I am missing something obvious.

I am about to reinstall the A arms following the installation of ER bushings. The question is at what angle should the arm be when I reinstall the torsion bars? I have seen folks install the A arm brackets at a 15 degree down angle. But the ER instructions say to continue to rotate the arm as you tighten the bolts. Should I bring it back to 15 degrees down and install the bars? Fine adjustments are made with the adjusting screw but where do I start?

that 15deg is just a ball park figure... you need to know what you want to set the ride height.

set the adj screw in the middle, put the wheels on and drop the car... if the ride height is to your liking then leave it. If you need to adjust use the adjustment screw. If you run out if adjustment you need to re-index the torsion bars. You should try to keep the adj screw in the middle in case you want some fine adjustment in the future.

the fronts are easy to reindex so you can do the hit and miss with the wheel on and a floorjack. set the adjustment screw in the middle so when the align/balance doer can do slight adjustments quickly. may save you a nickel... don't be afraid to reindex the bar itself up front, you'll be surprised how much that makes a difference in getting the sweet spot if you ain't findin it off the bat.

always use a jackstand while under a car while its supported by a floorjack......
