engine and trans mounts for 83 cab question
 

I'm in the process of changing the mounts on my 83 cab and per PET I ordered sport mounts for the engine and standard mounts for the trans cross member through our host. Upon dis-assembly I discovered that my car has sport mounts all the way around, note that I have no reason to believe that the mounts are not original to the car. See attached photo for picture. My mount is in the center with the standard to the left and the sport to the right. My question is do I send back the two standard mounts and get another pair of sport mounts or do I proceed according to the PET catalog. Warrenhttp://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1388948275.jpg

I think as long as you use the sport mounts for the engine you are OK since the Cab and Turbo need the sport mounts at the engine. I just replaced the engine and transmission mounts on my '86 Cab yesterday, but I used the sport mounts all around. I didn't pay attention what was on my car when I took them off. Mine should be original since the car has only $74K Miles on it.

Same here Sport Mount all the way around. I would return and order 2 more sports one.

Might want to change you vibration damper while you are in there...
