That's when you see something that might be better. AFTER Evren bought the '71 E I checked out, the following ad appeared:
"Porsche 911E...restored 1971 911E, 66K miles, $13,500/offer. 503-407-9953" -8-29-02 Portland OREGONIAN (I'm guessing from the 503 code this is in the Portland area somewhere, about 100 miles from me.)

Is there such a thing???? Those skinny rod bolts you know. Plus, a long time friend of mine was VERY upset when my old 1972 911 smoked his then "new carrera"....that was in '87. Even then, Porsche had tried to enter the luxury market, had fattened it's golden calf for slaughter...
