Question Dual Battery deletion 73T

Hello everyone,
My 73 is set up for dual batteries, but only has one. Consequentley I have loose cables (insulated) under the hood.
What is the propper guidance for running one battery and deleting the extra cables? I figure I will put it on the driver side where the fiberglass fender will be to compensate for the weight difference between it and the original steel one on the driver side.

Thanks,

Billy,

The 'proper' way to run a single battery is to loosen the two M6 (10 mm socket) bolts/screws on the left battery positive connector, and remove the second heavy cable leading over to the right battery. After it is disconnected ... it is irrelevant whether you remove that cable altogether or leave it in place! People that simply leave the second positive cable in place, still connected to the left battery, but insulated with tape ... are asking for a major fire or explosion!

IMHO, an electrical fire a few inches from 16.4 gallons of gas is suicidal!
