Aux Oil Thermostat
I have noticed, especially after reading these articles, that my 78 SC is running a little above the 9 oclock position on the temp gauge. When I feel the cooling lines under the right fender they are cool to the touch. I am pretty sure that this thermostat must be stuck closed. Any ideas appreciated.

Sure sounds like a bad tstat. Other possibility is seriously crushed oil lines.

Chuck, Thanks for the reply. I checked the lines and they look good. I just ordered all the guts for the thermostat and hope that will solve the problem.
