New Haltach Announced!
For all you HP junkies and heavy modifiers out there, here is a basic spec listing of the new Haltech E11. It was just announced and will not be available until Sep 10th. The features is just what Haltech needed and should position them to compete with the likes of Motec for a much lower cost.
* Full 32 bit system * Comes with mil-spec wiring * Halwin3 Windows based programming software only - there will be no DOS version. * Enough drivers to run a V8 with sequential injection AND direct fire ignition. 6-cylinder sequential injection with 6-coil sequential direct fire ignition is no problem. * Individual injector and ignition trims * On-board wide band control. * CAN support * Injection time down to 0.004ms , ignition timing down to 0.1 degrees. * Variable load and rpm points. 32x32. * Full 720 degree phase timing control of injectors with choice of End or Start of Injection. * TPS, 1,2,3,5 Bar MAP, Air Flow Meter all available as load inputs. * Advanced throttle pump control, fully mappable. * Built in firmware update facility and full diagnostics even for the trigger. * Idle control has a tonne more features. * 3-rotor AND 4-rotor full support. The 20B is completely covered and will run staged and sequential injection along with 6-coil direct fire ignition with full 32x32 map for trail split timing control. * Those of you with a rotary, the Oil Metering Pump is supported and allows mapping of the oil injection system ! * Dual on-board maps are directly supported. * On board datalogging. No need for a laptop to be connected to do datalogging. Log rate up to 250 samples per second !!! * Boost control is 3D mappable. * Many more trigger systems covered, with an updated internal RA system as well. Motronic support built in. * 5x Digital Inputs , 4x dedicated PWM with spare outputs available, 2x AuxOuts , 8x Spare A/D inputs. * Software comes on CD and manual comes in PDF format. * Many more features to come in future as firmware updates. |

I would definately consider this system. Among other things, it can do sequential fuel injection for 6 cylinders, its a 32 bit system and it has its own wide band O2 driver (which means you don't need to spend another 1k on a seperate box).
I might go with it next summer when I do a monster twin turbo configuration Customer support from Haltech is not that good but prabably not much worse than the other manufacturers. The best support is in the secondary market ie; online, distributors, etc. |
