71e targa - restore or sell?
![]() Needs pretty much everything. Not sure I can do it and pretty sure I dont want to! Should I just put her back together and ebay? Part out? No coa but 71e engine with mfi is within range and could be matching. I have collected a LOT of stuff for this car. Include or sell seperately? Any guesses as to value?

The car has potential. I could be worth allot of money restored. But it will also cost allot to get there. The problem is these cars are worth too much money now. My question is: do you desire to own a early longhood car; and will you have an opportunity to own another in the future (presumably at full price)? If you desire such a car I would suggest you farm out the body and paint and do the rest yourself. WHatever you do, don't break the car up. It needs to be restored to its former glory.

I am restoring my 69E soft window Targa that I have owned since 1971. There seems to be an endless list of things to do, so I may just reassemble to drive a while and restore gradually. These long hoods are getting pricey, so it will probably be worth restoration.
I really like the way the MFI engine responds. Dave |

You really have to decide if you have the desire to restore the car. That is a long haul t o restore that car. I am doing a 69 in the same shape I like the restore challenge and the work but to complete a multi year project like this you have to really want it
