Front Strut Mount Hex Size

I have searched and even looked in Waynes book but can'r find the size, I need to go buy one but need to get the correct size. Does anyone know the correct hex size needed to remove the front strut mounting bolts on a 1985 Targa? Thanks. Joe

Could be anything from 10mm to 19mm, plus. Take a pic and post.

On an '80 SC, you can use either a 22mm or 7/8 socket.

I would also recommend that you go buy a cheap digital caliper, as it's sometimes easier to measure existing parts.

Just to verify, I am referring to the hex bolt on the left. I need to remove the two on the other side of strut nut to install a strut brace.

To me that's an allen head. 5/16 SAE or 8mm.

Personally I would go to sears and buy a set. cheaper than buying one at a time.
