Floor pan replacement - What can I expect to pay?
What can I expect to pay to replace the floorboards, rear seat boards, battery boxes and gas tank support? I'm not talking about the parts, I'm talking about the labor. Does Maaco do this work? How does replacement of floor boards effect resale value of the car if I get the parts from restoration-design.com? This is a 1969 911T, anyplace in northern NJ area I might want to check out?

As far as resale goes let's face it sooner or later the supply of unmolested early cars is gonna run very thin and properly restored cars will command a fair amount of cash. The important thing here is to have the work done right, you'll need an experienced shop that does restoration work and can weld in the new panels without distorting the body. Definately not a job for Maaco. Price of course will be dependent on the labor involved, if you were to remove the interior etc. I'm sure you'd save a lot of cash. I recently saw a 64 1/2 Mustang that had it's floorboards repaired professionally, so well in fact that it was difficult to tell the actual extent of the work. The shop that did the work put the chassis on an alignment rack to keep the car straight during the cutting/welding process. In other words the cost will be determined by the desired final outcome and of course the better the outcome the better the resale value.

I was at restoration-design.com and it looks like they have shops in New Jersey. Did anyone have work done by them? I don't know where their shops are in New Jersey, but they have phone numbers on their website. I just want to know some feedback on them to see weather they do good work or not. They seem like they only do Porsche.
