Out of Ideas -- Turnsignals on the "Blink"

Can't figure it out. I know is unrelated, but after I did the chain tensioner upgrade I didn't have turnsignals (on either side). When the 4-ways are pressed, then I have 4-ways. But neither lefts or rights. Fuse ok, bulbs ok. Think the flasher relay is ok, because I've tried 2 others with the same result. If the lights for the arrows on the speedo are out (they don't light with the 4-ways)...will that take out the outside lights with them??

Been a couple weeks now, afraid I'll lose an arm signling. Open to suggestions.
