Replacing my 3.2 engine bay fuel lines
I have decided to replace my engine bay fuel lines and take the intake completely out to make things a little easier, and also to check for any other funny things that need replacing way in the back behind. Well first of all, I was really surprised how clean the engine was (reportedly the PO's PO pulled the engine and did some sort of overhaul but, no paperwork to verify it). I am going to replace the intake runners gaskets and the hard plastic inserts, which the old ones looked fine. New sound pad, one of the oil breather hoses and the I believe it's the oil temperature switch that's in the "Triangle of Death".
Also would like input on how to remove the fuel injector off of the fuel rails and what do I use to clean the inside of the intake, as it is rather nasty! Thanx, Serge ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I'm interested to hear how people clean the intake plenum too, as mine is also pretty mucky. What will you be replacing your fuel lines with?

Ferrino, definitely no OEM as they are too pricey. I have been doing some local research and I have found two places that I want to check out, but also considered "Amazon" in Florida, at least it seems that a few Pelicans have recommended them.

Have BoxsterGT (Len) here on Pelican re-do your lines!

I've had the same question. I suspect that oil vapor from the crankcase venting collect on the surfaces and then fine dust/etc. sticks to that. Maybe just leave it alone?
