Wiper am removal

Request info on wiper arm removal. I removed the nut and washer and stopped with the arm solidly tight on the axle. Is the arm screwed on, thus removal entails rotating CCW, or should it be pushed up from below?

TIA!

You're at the point it just pulls off. Rock it a bit or gently pry from below. No rotating should be needed.

Thanks! It is tight, perhaps some WD40.

JR is correct. Slow and chill if you don't have the right mini-pry bar, whatever that may be. Your paint is too nice.

Also, lift your arm up to release the tension against the windshield. That cocks it against the little splines. Note where the blade was. Masking tape helps you remember.

With a little patience it popped right off. I did this to replace the underlying plastic cup covers. Coated the bottom nut with CorrosionX to stop minimal surface corrosion. Lightly lubed splines before reassembly.

Thanks all!
