Wayne's Pick of Best Porsche Photos...

Many of you know that we have the largest collection of Porsche Photos in the world (no BS on that either). However, there are some neat things that have been lost in the archives, that I thought I would point out for those of you who haven't seen it. These photo collections (most taken by yours truly) are incredible collections of photos from events that will probably never happen again.

From the other thread, Vasek Pollak's garage:

Porsche's 50th anniversary at Monterey:

Porsche 50th Anniversary collection at the Petersen:

Aase Bros' auction in Orange County:

Photos from the Porsche Factory Museum:

Rennsport Reunion (photos not taken by me)

R Gruppe Gathering in Cambria (photos by Darren)

A most impressive collection if I do say so myself! Check out the full photo archive here: http://www.pelicanparts.com/swapmeet_pics/swapmeet_pic_index.htm

Wayne... a most impresive collection! Just a thought on how I can get something without working too hard for it. Could all those photos be transferred to a CD and maybe like the current CD you include with orders include the picture CD with the order? Or depending on cost to produce, something like "For an additional $? we'll include our fantastic photo gallery.

The photo gallery was complete on the early CDs. Now it's just too big to fit on a single CD. I don't have any plans to offer just the gallery on CD - too much time, too little return. However, I figure in about a year or two, the writeable DVDs will be close to becoming a standard. We would probably burn it on DVD with all the photos complete...

Wonderful
Loved photos from the Porsche Factory Museum - some may say "preserved" but they looked caged in a "Zoo" to me
You should have left the door latch unbolted.

Yes, that is for real. That really is Dave Buhain sitting there in the flesh!

No ****! Those are crated 917 engines. I told you these photos were cool. Those engines were stolen a short time thereafter...
