Rear plexiglass window, can't install trim. HELP!

I have had two different installers come out to try and install a plexiglass rear window in my '73 911 race car. I have just had all the trim re-anodized on the car and I really want to have the trim installed around the back window. Neither guy was able to get the trim to stay in the channel of the seal. I have seen these windows installled with trim on several different occasions and was hoping that someone could maybe let me know what the "trick" is to getting this installed. I am in the So Cal area.

Thanks

My back window went in like a charm using the - gasket on window...rope into opening trick.
My front window just would not go that way.
We ended up putting the gasket on the car and roping the window into the gasket.
BTW...it took 4 ppl to do it!!
Try that method.

Did you put the gasket on the window with the trim in the gasket, and then slide the window into that? Thanks.

Anyone else know about this, or have any other ideas or suggestions?

The metal locking trim must go int he gasket before the window goes in the car...

Chris is correct....the trim should go in the gasket first....but in my case...I used a non-trim (later) style of gasket.
I don't know if this was the cause of the difficulties with the front window....the back one went in very nicely.
I wanted a cleaner look to the car, so I opted for the trimless gasket.
As a result...I have the trim pieces left over..if anyone needs some....not perfect but very nice.
