$8350 and still climbing. Great progress!
This scenario has got me thinking about sprinklers in my garage ceiling. I have year round classic insurance but I don't want to have to collect in either case. I'm slowly getting them to my taste over the years. I can't imagine what Mark must feel every time he looks at that shell.

Come on boys. Think about if it was you.

OK gents-

We've lost our 'sticky' status, so it's important each of us keeps this alive by posting updates, etc.

We are at $8,605 with 82 participants so far, quite impressive for just over a week's worth of effort!

Jake & I have received some really great PM thoughts from some folks as well which were very cool.

Keep up the great work here gents!

and, I might add - accompanied with the following sentiment:

"When I was looking for a “hobby car”, I thought I wanted a 930, but I kept my options open. The knowledge base of the Pelican forum convinced me that I could perform some maintenance and even low end modifications on these cars. After spending time on Pelican, I realized that not only are there very knowledgeable posters, but it contained a really good group of guys. Mark epitomized why this is one of the best forums on the internet. It it was not for guys like him, I’m not sure I’d be driving a 930. My knowledge is a fraction of most member and I don’t contribute often to the forum. A donation to Mark’s fund will allow me to give a little something back."

Closin in on TEN GRAND, muuffuukkaahhs!!!

alrighty then - woop... THERE IT IS!:

$10,000.00

in just over a week

jusssst about 1/2 way there!!! (revised goal amount with targeted replacement candidate able to be procured for far less)

Let's keep the positive momentum and crush this... what a tremendous community we are so fortunate to be a part of.

Checking in here folks, this effort has gone cold for a solid month unfortunately.

Update: We are at $11,875 as of today men!!!

Excellent work, by all accounts. But yes, still a ways to go. While we've certainly surprisingly had more than a few "multiple donators" - and more keep popping in again - It Takes a Village, folks!!!

Again, Jacob has purchased Mark's replacement GP White '87 930 and we are marking the calendar until 7/24-7/27's turboPALOOZA where Mark takes delivery of his neu steed... and... hoping a strong number of youseses will join us for such and the ensuing shenanigans and debauchery. Please visit turboPALOOZA 2014: Special Stages PA / NY - July 24-27 for details, and hope to meet many more of you.

Thanks everyone for your consideration.

Let's keep this rolling... can't always be me reviving things here unfortunately...
