Relay question-76' 930
 
Well I just got this car and there is supposed to be 6 relays in the luggage area,well there are only 3,the other three arent there,or is the wiring for them. Any ideas?

I have a '77. It was extensively rewired by a PO - who definitely did NOT know what he was doing :mad: . However, at least I DO have all my relays!:rolleyes:

Don't know what he may have done to you, but your best bet is to bite the bullet - get out the factory manual wiring diagrams for the '76 and go through it circuit by circuit, restoring it to factory or documenting the changes. Just to be fair, there are lots of things the factory could have done, some of which may be "better" than what grew by adding features year after year on top of an already somewhat overstrained electrical system. You might find that some things actually make sense - if so, make sure you know how it's wired now and leave it alone, if you're comfortable with that.

Otherwise, you get to do what I did. Go system by system, slowly and methodically, until everything matches the factory diagram and works reliably. Headlights, turn signals, fog lights, instrument lights, washer, wipers, intermittent wipers, ad nauseum, et cetera, ...
