That color is gorgeous.

The background is nice too.

But the car is better.

I think the cranes in the F am M skyline are permanent structures.

Fond memories of Frankfurt.

Stayed at the Gravenbruch Kempinski for a couple of weeks in 1985 on business.

Easy job. On weekend, took the boat ride to Rüdesheim am Rhein.

Great food and beer. Ladies were really easy to look at.

Thanks for posting.

It was rough duty.

Here going out to lunch with one of the ladies from the Frankfurt office.

Why am I smiling? (Cause they don't make many like that in Ohio)

Oh come on!
There`s nothing more disgusting beer than TUCHER Weizen.
An Frankfurt is boring,

Go to the alps, better beer and the top of the world Porsche-tracks.

When we talk about beer than I need to chime in. I was born in Dortmund and of course I must say the Dortmund beer is the best . I am flying into Frankfurt tomorrow for a business trip and will have some of the Dortmund beer and will be driving my friends '82 SC on the Autobahn next weekend (of course not at the same time).

Juergen,
you are absolutely right, but what brewery in Dortmund are you talking about, DAB?
I recommend you take the autobahn down south and try some really tasty Augustiner or Tegernseer beer. Then you would wish you were born close to this breweries.
Have a save trip and enjoy it.

Tom, I don't want to take over Flojo's thread, but to be honest when I meet with my brothers and friends we don't even drink Dortmunder beer. We drink either Krombacher or Warsteiner. Either way I can't wait to get there Friday night after my first business appointment.

Here is an excerpt fro the Wiki page on Krombacher:

According to a regulation of 25 July 1618 the sale of beer was permitted only to restaurants having their own brewery and malt kiln. Therefore, John Haas established the brewery within the family business.

Krombacher Brauerei - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Anyone know why several German brewers hauled ass to the US in the 1800's to brew? Does the above regulation have anything to do with it?

Flojo neat car looks in excellent shape ,I've gotta say I love your town ,have visited four maybe
five times twice on one trip!
In '12 visited South Africa and instead of a direct flight flew through Frankfurt and stayed a few days going and coming ,stayed close to the Opera house in a cool hotel called Roomers just off from the main bahn house!
Years ago stopped in Frankfurt after an Amsterdamn visit and was able to fit in stuutgart and
the International Auto show Frankfurt in September that is cool.
This last trip I made it to the new Porsche Museum of course ...some great pics...Bert
